6 Weeks old already!

Below are photos from the past 6 weeks (in order) and a little note from me at the end. Enjoy!

William:

Matthew:

Wow, this has been the fastest 6 weeks of our lives! It's hard to believe that our tiny little babies are close to two months old already and that summer is just around the corner. I feel like we're on a race against the closet--every time I do laundry I find little outfits that don't fit the boys anymore. Amazing how fast they grow. The past 6 weeks have been a lot of fun, exhausting fun, for all of us. Jillian has turned out to be such a fantastic big sister--very loving, very helpful, and hardly jealous of her brothers. She's very patient with us when we're feeding them or busy getting them changed and has really grown up a lot since their arrival. Mike and I have both been stunned to look at her as being HUGE and no longer a baby in our eyes. It wasn't until he boys arrived that we stopped seeing her as our little baby girl. I think about how quickly her 3.5 years of life have gone by and so I'm trying to soak up all these baby moments with the boys knowing that they'll soon be off to preschool like their big sister. My mom, Grandma, left just last week and boy do we miss her! She was here for about 7 weeks (having arrived just before the babies were born) and spent a great deal of time helping us adjust to the babies all while keeping Jillian going along in her little life. We are so very lucky to have had her here to help...I have no idea what we would have done without her!

As for Matthew and William; they are looking more alike every day! We still have a dab of blue nail polish on Matthew's toes just in case. It helps Jillian figure out which brother she's talking to as well. Two days ago I saw them each smile the biggest little smiles yet, but haven't seen many since. It's fun to get a little preview of what their smiles will look like...even if they're sleepy smiles or gassy smiles! The boys are eating and sleeping on the same schedule which has worked out wonderfully. Sometimes I wonder if they have their days/nights confused because they are very awake in the evenings and also in the middle of the night while eating. However, it hasn't prevented them from sleeping at night. They are basically eating/sleeping every 3 hours and sometimes a wee bit longer. By 6 weeks old we had Jillian sleeping through the night so we're hoping the boys will be doing so soon enough.

This coming weekend we are gearing up for our first trip to FL. We've got about 6 hours ahead of us (including stops) and a lot less room in the van than we're used to! We're ready to get the babies out of the house and on their first adventure!
