TWINS!

So, if you haven't heard by now, then you should know--we are pregnant with identical twins! Shocker, yes! We are about 3 months along (due March 19th--most likely earlier than that though) and should soon be able to find out the sex of the babies (they'll be the same sex.) Jillian has some sort of idea but we are waiting to tell her once I am showing a little more. Plus, she's got preschool right around the corner and a possible move back to FL coming up in a few months too so we don't want to turn her world upside QUITE yet. :-) So far I feel really great (I've had a handful of days with morning sickness but not too much to complain about) and I am starting to grow by the day. Being that I am carrying twins I will be going for extra sonograms once a month and eventually twice a month (fun!) so they can watch the growth and be on the lookout for any problems that may occur. Every now and then I get a feeling of "huh?" when I think about there being two little babies growing and shortly after that I get the feelings of "holy sh**" and "this aught to be fun!" LOL We'll keep you all updated as things move along.

I love looking at your ultrasound pictures. They never get old. It's just amazing! Now, I didn't know that identical twins had to be the same sex???...I know that sounds silly. Am I completely clueless or is there something I'm not getting!? Please fill me in because I'm so confused :)

OMG...I feel so stupid. I just googled it and learned a whole lot about identical twins. I've been thinking how cool it would be if you had one of each...so much for that :)

Don't feel stupid Jess! Mike and I had no idea either...it's a whole new "breed" if you ask me! They are two peas of the same pod--one egg that split. I'm glad that they will be the same sex...easier when it comes to swapping clothes and sharing a room when they're older! Even easier if they are girls!
