Long time no posts!

After a few frustrating attempts to update the blog we finally realized that our server was full. Every time I say "server is full" I think of the Christmas Vacation movie where Randy Quaid talks about something else being "full." hahaha. Makes me laugh! So, we had to go in and delete about 18 months worth of posts from our website so that we can continue to post new stuff. It was hard deleting things like our ultrasound photos, and the first year of Jillian's life. But, that's why I have a gazillion photo albums that I can flip through in case I need to look back. Anyway, a little update:

The first thing that we want to report is that Jillian is POTTY TRAINED! It's amazing. We thought we were in for months and months of learning how to use the potty full time. Little did we know that in just 2 days she would be 100% trained! We keep her in training pants for naps and at night time but surprisingly she sometimes wakes up completely dry. She's a pro at going all by herself and is really good about using public restrooms. We are just so proud of her and can not believe that it clicked in just two days. We haven't changed a diaper in over 3 weeks! Woooo Hoooo!

This coming weekend we are signing Jillian up for Preschool next fall. I can't wait! I visited a few preschools in the area to see what they were like and to talk with the directors and teachers. Some were a little disappointing and not very organized but I did find one that felt right. I'm going to also sign up to be a substitute on the days that Jillian has school so that I can be involved as much as I can. The school seems to offer a lot of opportunities (other than subbing) for parents to be involved which is really exciting for me. We've been talking about "school" with Jillian and how much fun she'll have and all about meeting new friends...the funny part is that she always remembers to mention the part about "and there will be no Mommies and no Daddies there." I think she's still processing what it'll be like to go to school but by the time September rolls around she'll be begging to go I'm sure! I hope.
