We set off with Grandma and Grandpa M to visit the National Christmas Tree this past Saturday. The tree sits on the Ellipse just between the National Monument and the White House. Surrounding the tree are some little villages with Amtrak-like trains winding all around the tree--Jillian's favorite part. As we walked away from the tree she was pulling my arm to walk back to see the "choo-choo!!!". Also, each state and US territory has a small 4 foot decorated tree surounding the big tree with special ornaments sent in from that state. We took a photo of the VT tree...
