Once again we spent "Thanksmas" up in Maine at Kerri, Todd and Christopher's house...on December 15th. We decided last year that since no one likes to travel on Thanksgiving or Christmas then we'd meet in the middle and call it Thanksmas! We drove up during the big snow storm and what would have been an 8 hour drive from DC turned in to about 12 hours. It really wasn't all that bad, just slow going for the last few hours, and certainly a pretty scene outside! We arrived in VT for the night (at 1am) and continued to Maine the next morning. We had such a great time! The only bummer was that John and Shannon and the kids couldn't make it this year. I'm hoping to start a "Christmas in July" tradition for next year though...since we all came home with coughs and colds!
