Update Update!

So, in a nutshell: Jillian has started pre-K (well over 6 weeks ago) and loves it! She's really enjoying all the social relationships and absolutely loves her teachers. The school is part of Middle Georgia Technical College so there are a lot of college students and interns coming to her classroom with lots of cool activities and projects. Every day Jillian talks about these special visitors and I think about all the interning and observing I once did for my Education degree. I can only imagine what these college students are reporting on..."I've learned how to manage a classroom full of princesses and pirates..."

Matthew and William are 6+ months old now...Matthew just sprouted his third tooth and started saying "Ah Ya Da Ya" yesterday...I bet "Da Da" will be here next week. So cute! He's our very talkative boy...wakes up and immediately announces that it's time to wake up (all while William quietly plays in his crib.) Matthew loves to suck his thumb and cuddle with his little blue blankie. He's about a half a pound heavier and a half inch taller than William. His hair is a little longer too, and is always neatly combed over. :-) William is our patient, patient, patient boy. He seems to just go with the flow of everything, rarely whines or cries, and usually just quietly plays while waiting his turn to eat or come out of his crib. His hair likes to curl on the top so we try to comb it that way so it's easier for everyone to tell the boys apart. William sucks his pinky and ring finger mostly, but every now and then he'll choose his left thumb. He's not at all attached to his blankie, or anything really. He loves to play on his belly and is starting to rock on his knees a lot. I am predicting that he'll start crawling before Matthew. William will make his way all around the room so we've had to start baby proofing and corralling Jillian's small toys. William is also a great eater--rarely makes a mess, unlike Matthew who likes to blow his food all over Mommy after every bite. :-)

All three kids love to play together now...so much fun for us to watch. The boys smile and laugh at Jillian and she LOVES her 24/7 audience. She'll put on little dance shows for them and tickle them. Her classmates really love when I bring the boys in the classroom at pick up time...they are fascinated by the twins and I think Jillian loves that she has TWO baby brothers to show off. I've been bringing all the baby food jars to her teachers and the children are always thanking me for the jars. I think I've given them 50+ jars and plastic containers...can't wait to see what all the projects will be!

Mike and I have stayed busy with the kids; having gone to Atlanta a few times, down to FL to visit Grammy and Grandpa, and to the beach for the first time last week when Grandpa visited. Jillian got her first bicycle recently so we've been going on family bike rides around the neighborhood almost every night. The weather has finally "cooled off" a bit...still in the 90's during the day but in the high 60's at night and early morning. We've got a few fun fall activities planned over the next couple of months that we're looking forward to. I can't wait for Halloween...still brainstorming costumes but it should be fun!
