Fa La La La Laaaa, La La La Laaaaaa

Much to our surprise, Jillian slept until 9am on Christmas morning while the rest of us (Grammy and Grandpa included) were up at 6:30am waiting to see what Santa had brought us. Once Jillian was up, she came down stairs and was so interested in the train going around the tree (which Santa set up for her over night) that she didn't even see all the gifts spread around. After a minute or two of exploring the train, she was on to her first present...the red sports car that she asked Santa for (Lightning McQueen to be exact.) Once the first gift was open Jillian kept saying "What are those?" and "this is for Jillian!" It was a lot of fun to watch her open her gifts--and she had fun watching the rest of us open our gifts too. This was a "Wii" Christmas for all of us being that Grammy and Grandpa got Mike and I a Wii and they got a Wii from Marc, Megan and Mike and I. So, needless to say Wii were all happy. ;-) I think my New Year's Resolution is to get fit and organized because the day after Christmas I found myself at Target buying the Wii Fit, a 3-tiered toy organizer and a craft supply box to organize all of Jillian's playdoh, markers, paint brushes, etc. What a great way to start the new year! Here are some photos of Christmas day and some of Jillian's gifts:

Taste testing Santa's cookies and the carrots for Rudolph:

Santa did a great job setting up all the gifts!

This was Jillian pointing at the train (which we didn't set up until Christmas day):

Opening her first present; the "sports car" as she calls it:

She got three different Lightning McQueen cars from Santa, along with the Cars movie:

Testing out her new scooter (she says "just like Darby and Tigger and Pooh" for those of you who watch that show)

Her little farm set

Aqua Doodle

Her very own Stethoscope like Uncle Marc and Aunt Megan. She calls herself 'Doctor Jillian'

Jillian loves her new art easel!
