The most interesting part of the weekend was the tour of The White House that was set up for us. Unfortunately there were no photos allowed inside the house, but a lot of what we saw is usually what you see in television interviews: the Green Room, the Red Room, the Blue Room, the libarary, the Vermeil Room, the East Room, the Reception Room, and some various hallways and staircases. We also saw a lot of secret service guys with big machine guns! The best part was when we walked across the front of the house and looked out the windows across the lawn at all the people on the other side of the fence. That's usually the closest you can get--up to that fence. I made sure to sit in every window seat (even though they looked like 100 year old chairs) and looked out through the 5 inch thick glass. :-) The Pope had just visited the White House about 4 days earlier and it was neat to be right near the balcony where he stood and waved to the people. We also spent a little time relaxing and went out one night around 11pm to look at all the monuments lit up. What a site!
Congratulations to Mike! We're all so proud of him and what he has accomplished at Geico.

Out to dinner at "Widows over Washington"

After dinner we all went up to the bar and enjoyed the view (it's a rotating bar!)
This is of the Washington Monument and The Capitol in the far distance and the airport approach in the foreground(it was dark and rainy out)
