Jillian Clare was born at 3:25pm on August 15, 2006 weighing in at 8lbs 4oz and 21 inches long. She's now 23lbs 9oz and 30 inches tall (at her 1 year check up.) She is such a shining star in our lives.
In her young life she has: flown on a plane from FL to ME, visited the ocean, cruised on a boat, ridden on a train, swam in a pool, visited Disney World 5+ times, traveled on long car trips, and has participated in web-cam chats with her grandparents!
She has several nick-names but mostly she's "Jilly-bean." She has 7 teeth, wild and crazy hair, big feet, and the prettiest blue eyes in town. She says lots of words, but most importantly she said Mama before she said Dada. :-) haha. Actually, she screams "MAMA" and sings "DADA" so which would you rather hear?
She loves to look at things and say "Pit-tee" because they're so pretty and also says it when she brushes her hair. She says "More" when she's eating and babbles up a storm all day long.
Her favorite books are "Brown Bear Brown Bear" "Barnyard Dance" "Not the Hippopotamus" "Big Red Barn" and "One Two Three." She is so smart that when we ask her to go get the books (by name) she'll rifle through the pile until she finds the right one!
She gobbles up most any food that we give her, but she does like to inspect it before eating. (Maybe she'll work for the FDA some day?) She's kicked her bottle habit without looking back and now prefers her sippy cups :-)
She runs to the door when Daddy comes home from work and gives kisses to most anyone who asks for one (sometimes she doesn't give them to Mommy though. Probably because Mommy steals them all day long!)
She has made lots of friends throughout the year, but her best friend is her doggie Jasmine who makes her laugh and laugh and laugh and her special little cow friends with whom she greets every day saying "mooooo!"
Jillian is quite an amazing 1 year old and we just can't imagine life without her! (I'm sure the dog would be happy to remind us what a wonderful life she had pre-Jillian--ha!)

Happy Birthday, Jillian! I can't beleive it has been a year already! It goes so fast! Jude is already 3 months old!! We will miss you when you move:(
